Implementing Change Today for A Better Tomorrow
ACR is a provider of Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) services. CACFP is a federally funded program administered by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that provides nutritious meals and snacks to children and adults in day care settings. By participating in CACFP, ACR helps ensure that children in public schools and other care facilities receive balanced and healthy meals.
The impact of ACR's CACFP services on the community, particularly public schools, includes:
Overall, ACR's provision of CACFP services plays a crucial role in supporting the health, education, and well-being of children in the community.
In conjunction with providing daily meals and snacks through the CACFP program, ACR offers a range of free educational services for all school-age students. We customize our educational plans to meet the unique needs of each student, collect data to monitor progress, provide social-emotional learning (SEL) support, and help reduce retention rates in local schools. Our services are completely free to families.
In high school settings, we have implemented an Athletic Academy to ensure our student-athletes maintain high academic standards. We emphasize the importance of seeking assistance and aim to fill the gap for families who cannot afford extra educational support. By hiring and paying qualified educators from our own funds, we ensure that children receive high-quality instruction from credentialed professionals. Our comprehensive approach supports students' academic success and overall well-being, benefiting both families and the broader community.
Our SEL programs are offered during afterschool hours and focus on helping students develop emotional awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and healthy relationship skills. These sessions are interactive, age-appropriate, and aligned with educational and behavioral best practices.
Licensed mental health professionals will provide confidential one-on-one and small group counseling sessions for students and families needing deeper emotional or behavioral support.
In collaboration with school staff, we will offer behavioral health screenings, interventions, and skill-building during and after the school day.
Immediate support and referrals for youth experiencing emotional crises or trauma, with follow-up care and family engagement.
Targeted sessions that teach communication, conflict resolution, anger management, and stress coping strategies in a safe and engaging afterschool environment.
Evening and weekend workshops that equip families with tools to better understand their child’s emotional needs and create a nurturing, structured home environment.
Afterschool hours are a critical time for youth development. By integrating behavioral health services into afterschool programs, we are creating safe, supportive spaces where students can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
We're excited to bring this initiative to life with the help of certified professionals, schools, and families. More details, including locations and enrollment information, will be released soon.
